Students and 20s & 30s

Welcome to Norwich and welcome to Holy Trinity.

Coming to a new city and starting a new life in academia can be truly daunting. New life, new friends, new surroundings and even having to cook for yourself! That's why we at Holy Trinity want to help you get adjusted and settle in as quickly as possible.

Or perhaps you've been at the UEA for a year or two now, but haven't really settled in a church. You'll always find a warm welcome at Trinity.

Our student programme this year is going to include student lunches; and informal Sunday evening get togethers. There will also be a new opportunity to learn how to handle the Bible better. Learn the science and art of interpreting the Bible! We're convinced that that's just what you are going to need as the future leaders in the church!

But if you're thinking 'I'm not really sure what a Christian is or whether I want to be one', then don't worry. We would love to help you think through those issues whilst you are at University.

If you know you're a Christian and want to get involved in church life, then Holy Trinity can offer lots of opportunities to serve. For example, there are openings in music, children's work, youth work and community outreach. However, we would encourage all undergraduates at the UEA to make involvement in the Christian Union your priority.

Food and Transport

If you're not yet convinced...come to one of our Student Lunches on the 4th and 11th of October, open to students of all years. We'll be laying on transport for the first few weeks of term so that you know how to find us. Cars will leave from the Security Lodge at 9:30am and 6:00 pm on Sundays.

We hope that you'll have fun with us; get clear about your Christian faith and grow in confidence to serve the university through the outreach of the Christian Union.

Finding HT

Holy Trinity is located just off Unthank Road where many of you will be living in your second and third years. Make us your local church even before we are! Click here for how to find us. We're on the Number 25 Bus route so we're easy to get to. Allow 30 minutes to walk from UEA campus or 20 minutes to cycle. However, don't forget that to make it even easier for you to find us we are laying on transport for the first four weeks of term.

Contact Mark, Alex or Jo for further information.

International Students

The World Café is an event for international students that meets every Friday evening during term time at 7:30pm. There is a different activity each week! You are welcome to come for the whole time or just drop in. All international students are welcome, from any religious background or none. The World Café also provides an opportunity for people to chat (practise their English!) or just chill out at the end of the week.

Tea Break is an event every Monday morning from 10.15am to 12.15pm during term time for international women and pre-school children. There is a different theme each week. At Tea Break you can practise your English, make friends, exchange ideas and meet other women from around the world!

Both events are organised by Friends International but meet in Holy Trinity's Meeting Place. For any more information please click on the following link: www.friendsinternationalnorwich.org.uk
