Holy Trinity Playgroup

Who we are

An OFSTED registered early years setting for pre-schoolers from age 2 ½ upwards, established in 1990.

As a major part of Holy Trinity Church’s outreach to the local community our Playgroup seeks to offer a loving, accepting and safe Christian environment for young children and their families. We aim to provide stimulating play for young children whilst having a concern for each child’s personal, social and emotional development during their time with the group. We would sum up our aims under the word CARE:-

C – Concern for the well-being of the child is our priority.
A – An attitude of gentleness and respect in all our communications.
R – Real interest in the unique ways children learn and develop.
E – Engaging all children by offering a wide range of activities which reflect their diversity and individual interests and abilities.

We offer individual care and education to young children through carefully planned, yet flexible, activities and by maintaining a high ratio of adults to children. There are a minimum of 5 staff and no more than 26 children in each session. We operate a key person system to ensure each child’s needs are met within the Early Years Foundation Stage - the curriculum we follow.

There is a Committee, under the responsibility of Holy Trinity Church Parochial Church Council, which attends to the management of the Playgroup.
