Holy Trinity Pre-School Playgroup

Who we are

An OFSTED registered early years setting for pre-schoolers from age 2 ½ upwards, established in 1990.

As a major part of Holy Trinity Church’s outreach to the local community we have an agreed Christian ethos statement as follows:

“At Holy Trinity Pre-School Playgroup our Christian faith is the central focus of our ethos. In serving our community, we welcome parents and children of all faiths and none, treating all with love, respect and acceptance.

We look to provide an early years education within the context of Christian belief and practice. Our hope is that each child and family will experience within our Playgroup the message of God’s love for the world in Jesus Christ.

We also hope that each child will find Holy Trinity Pre-School Playgroup to be a place where they are nurtured and encouraged to develop a sense of awe and wonder about themselves and their place within God’s creation.”

We offer individual care and education to young children through carefully planned, yet flexible, activities and by maintaining a high ratio of adults to children. There are a minimum of 5 staff and no more than 26 children in each session. We operate a key person system to ensure each child’s needs are met within the Early Years Foundation Stage - the curriculum we follow.

There is a Committee, under the responsibility of Holy Trinity Church Parochial Church Council, which attends to the management of the Playgroup.
