Freshers

Welcome to Norwich and welcome to Holy Trinity.

Coming to a new city and starting a new life in academia can be truly daunting. New life, new friends, new surroundings and having to cook for yourself!

That's why we at Holy Trinity want to help you get adjusted and settle in as quickly as possible. This year we are starting a new student programme known as "Trinity Time Out". That's a fancy name for meeting up at the Curate's house after the evening service during term time. We'll start with a light supper each week (we know our priorities). After eating together, we'll alternate between topical discussions on stuff that is relevant to you and short talks followed by examining a passage from the Bible. We want to learn together. Programme to follow.

If you're thinking 'I'm not really sure what a Christian is or whether I want to be one', then don't worry. We would love to help you think through those issues whilst you are at University. Contact Mark, Alex or Jo for further information.

If you know you're a Christian and want to get involved in church life, then Holy Trinity can offer loads of opportunities to serve. For example, there are always openings in music, children's work, youth work and community outreach. However, we would encourage all undergraduates at the UEA to be fully involved in the Christian Union and see that as your primary role.

Food

If you're not yet convinced...come to our Student Lunch on the 28th September at a lovely house in the country. Transport provided. Open to students of all years. Also don't forget that student suppers start after the evening service in a family home close to church from 21st September. Come and visit Holy Trinity. We hope that you'll have fun with us and get clear about your Christian faith!

Finding HT

Holy Trinity is located just off Unthank Road where many of you will be living in your second and third years. Make us your local church even before we are! Click here for how to find us. We're on the Number 25 Bus route so we're easy to get to. Allow 30 minutes to walk from UEA campus or 20 minutes to cycle. However, to make it even easier for you to find us we are laying on transport for the first four weeks of term. See below for details:

Trinity Time Out

As part of our student ministry at Holy Trinity a group meets every Sunday evening at the home of our Curate, Mark, to take a break from the busyness of university life, have some food and chat together in a Bible discussion. This term we are starting a series called 'Saved By Grace' in which we will be looking at the development of God's plan of salvation and how it has been achieved since the very beginning by His grace. We hope from this group to provide students with a confidence in the perfect plans of God in our salvation, and the ability to serve the university through the ministry of the Christian Union.
